'Towards the Ultimate Goal'
Power, determination, fighting spirit and
great attitude. All that is needed to reach your goals.
If somebody thought that MIU programs were lacking in speed and difficulty
last year, this year we have almost more difficulty than possible.
Quite by accident during one spring practise a piece from the Rocky IV movie
soundtrack was playing. The music had a certain slow beat, yet it was a
strong piece of music. It was kind of intriguing and captured one's
attention. That was when the idea of the program started. It is not about
boxing, but about fighting spirit and attitude, and all the work that needs
to be done to reach your goals.
The program was intentionally made almost too difficult in the very
beginning. The point was - and is - for the girls to take up the challenge
and eventually master it, and so they have.
Free program: ‘The Magical Forest’
We dive into a mysterious world, into an enchanted forest where there is a
continuous and endless battle between the bright daylight and darkness of
the night. Beautiful fairies rule during daylight, and ugly goblins during
the night. We take a journey in a world where trees are alive and you can smell the magic in the air.
Mystical stories and movies are a topic of current interest right now, not
least because of the Lord of the Rings stories. To have an adventure in a
world like that has inspired this year´s free program. The abstract theme
gives unlimited possibilities for creating the choreography. This program is
based on the world of the magical forest and the creatures that live there.
Beautiful fairies flying around with delicate movements and ugly, clumsy
goblins that just want to scare everyone. Both of them long for the world
they cannot live in. One of them is the child of night, the other one the
child of day.
